Steps

Prepare the Rug
Lay out the old rug on a clean, flat surface. Vacuum it thoroughly to remove any dirt and debris. If the rug is heavily soiled, you may want to clean it following the manufacturer’s instructions before starting the project.
Measure and Mark
Using a measuring tape and a chalk or fabric marker, measure out the size of the mat you want to create. Mark the lines clearly to guide your cutting.
Cut the Rug
