Build Bird Feeders Using Plastic Bottles

Steps

Gather Materials
Collect empty plastic bottles, wooden spoons or dowels, bird seed, string or wire, and a pair of scissors.
Prepare the Bottle
Clean and dry the plastic bottle thoroughly. If a label is present, remove it.
Make Holes
Using scissors or a utility knife, make two small holes near the bottom of the bottle on opposite sides. Ensure the holes are large enough for the wooden spoon or dowel to pass through.
Insert Perches
Push the wooden spoon or dowel through the holes to create a perch for birds. If using a spoon, ensure the bowl part sticks out to hold seeds.
Create Feeding Openings
Cut small openings above the perches so the birds can access the seeds. The openings should be large enough for birds to reach in but small enough to prevent excessive seed spillage.
Attach Hanging Mechanism
Create two small holes near the top of the bottle and thread string or wire through them. Tie the ends securely to form a loop for hanging.
Fill with Seed
Fill the bottle with bird seed through the bottle opening, screw the cap back on, and hang your feeder in a suitable location.
