In Port Angeles a firm that specialises in recycling electronics has won the top prize of five thousand dollars in a competition called the Entrepreneur Challenge. The proprietor of EcycleNW admitted that his goal was to end up as the foremost electronics recycler in Western Washington.
Dan Tharp was extremely grateful to his immediate family for being his source of inspiration.
Jim Haguewood, who presented the award to Dan Tharp disclosed that the business plan that Tharp had submitted had been received with a lot of excitement by the judges who concluded it had great prospects. Jim Haguewood added that the electronics recycling firm had already spread out into recycling electronic items in Clallam County Public Utility District and several other utilities as well.
In the enterprise competition there were two runners-up, all of whom were based in Port Angeles. They each got a thousand dollars and they were the Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association and Multi Axis Games (MxG).
The chief executive officer of MxG is Tim Reddington while the chief operating officer is Margaret Staples. MxG makes entertainment software made to generate and run pay online interactive games and communities.
Tim Reddington confessed that he was pleased with how the contest compelled him and other contestants to fine tune their business plans which they considered perfect. He revealed he was looking forward to generating seventy employment opportunities if the funding came along.
Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association’s John Halberg submitted an improved business plan for the non-profit organisation and had high expectations of receiving adequate funding.
