Ladbrook Engineering designs latest glass recycling tech

Ladbrook announced that they have begun working on developing a glass recycling machine.

Based in North Walsham, Ladbrook Engineering is currently producing designs and concept models for a new generation of glass recycling equipment called the ‘Little Smasher’. The ‘Little Smasher’ is currently being developed to heighten convenience and safety in the bottle smashing process so that waste storage can be reduced and transport made easier.

The engineering firm has partnered with Smash & Grab Glass Recycling Ltd for the design, and Ladbrook will be providing the manufacturing services. Mike Blowers, managing director for Ladbrook, told PRW.com that the company was excited to be working with the recycling group to build the next generation in machinery. He added that the latest designs were looking more stylish and had several technical improvements.

Ladbrook has maintained its status as one of the UK’s leaders in pressed metal parts, offering material for everything from prestige sports cars to cookers. The firm has been operating for more than 70 years, and to this day is a family-owned and operated business.

Smash & Grab Glass Recycling Ltd. has so far sold a large quantity of LS02s to restaurants and hotels around London. The ‘Little Smasher’ is capable of reducing glass volumes by up to 80 per cent making it possible to recycle glass less often.
