Several Killed in Power Plant Explosion

In the quest to build new and cleaner energy plants there have been many roadblocks along the way.  Many countries like the United Kingdom and United States have had to completely rethink their infrastructure, which has made for a lot of construction projects.  New plants are being built all over the United States and in some cases the difficulties are very serious and even deadly.  Recently a plant that was still under construction exploded while workers were conducting tests.   Many lives were lost in the tragedy and the body count is expected to rise over the next few days as rescue workers try to dig people out of the rubble.

The Kleen Energy Plant, which was still under construction, exploded during a test yesterday creating a massive explosion that could be heard, seen, and even felt from miles away.   Officials have thus far numbered the dead at five although the numbers are not certain as they are unsure exactly who was working at the plant.  Since it was still under construction there were many people on the site which has led officials to be pessimistic about the chances of more dead bodies.  The first thought of many was that this was an act of terrorism but police were able to rule that out after canvassing the area with bomb sniffing dogs.

Rescue workers were initially repelled by the large flames still billowing out of the plant and the massive amount of smoke being created by the blaze.  The windows of many neighboring homes were blown out by the explosion.
