New Online Courses Aim to Reduce Waste

Since it was revealed that the United Kingdom was well behind most of its European counterparts when it comes to recycling and waste management, the country has been looking for new and innovative ways to educate the public on the importance of these issues.  As these are such important issues, no avenue or method can be overlooked, and now a company is offering a way for individuals and businesses to educate themselves on ways to reduce waste.  Manufacturers around the United Kingdom are being offered an innovative way to save money on their employees.  Recently a website was launched which aims to educate manufacturers in the United Kingdom on ways to save money through greener practices.

Packaging manufacturers are the target of the new waste initiative which the website claims can save companies up to one thousand pounds per each of its employees.  The recycling industry has long targeted consumers for such initiatives but has found that it is better to get manufacturers involved to save on packaging by not creating it in the first place.  The website was launched by Envirowise which aims to illustrate to companies how much money they are wasting by not being green.  The online course is called Rethink Waste and aims to educate companies on the true cost of waste, as well as on how to implement plans and strategies to limit the amount of waste the company produces.  Envirowise says that the rising cost of dumping waste in landfills has companies listening closely to the advice as a way to save significant amounts of money.
