Environmentally Friendly Racecar Hits Market

For the past few decades car manufacturers have been increasingly pressured to come up with greener automobiles.  Although it has been slow to come, almost all of the major car makers have made great strides in the areas of hybrid and electric cars.  One thing that has held back electric cars is that most countries lack the necessary infrastructure to support them.  This is starting to change as some businesses and communities have taken the initiative to launch electric top off stations.  The other thing that has held back environmentally friendly cars is that many people have the stereotype that they are ugly, slow vehicles that just don’t perform as well as the their traditional counterparts.  This image may start to change after a recent innovation by Climax Cars.

Climax Cars has developed one of the first sports racer cars that also kept the environment in mind.  The car will combine the latest automotive technology as well as the latest developments in green technology as well. One of the things that the manufacturers have done is to construct the car completely out of aluminum.  Not only is aluminum the most abundant metal in existence, it is also very light.  Its lighter weight means that it will take less fuel to make it go, which means fewer carbon emissions.   There are some composites like carbon fiber which is lighter but these materials cannot be recycled and often use chemicals which are not safe for the environment.

The car, which will retail for just over ninety thousand pounds, will be in limited supply as Climax Cars only has plans to make around two hundred.
