Remploy E-Cycle Offers Money for E-Waste

E-waste has become one of the largest concerns of the recycling and waste management industries of the United Kingdom.  People and businesses are still unsure what to do with old computers, printers, monitors, and mobile phones  and many of these things end up being disposed of improperly or recycled for very little money.  Is was recently revealed that the United Kingdom was dumping e-waste onto third world nations, largely as a part of scams aimed to cheat companies out of money by offering services that were not legitimate.  Now businesses are being cautious about their e-waste as they know that if it is improperly dumped that it will eventually come back to bite them.  One IT refurbisher in the UK says that companies are missing out on a valuable opportunity to regain some of the losses suffered.

Remploy e-cycle is trying to encourage businesses to sell their used electronics to refurbishers instead of just recycling them or throwing them into the rubbish bin.  In fact, they claim that a company who sells around one hundred used computers can recoup over seven thousand pounds for their investment.  Their new campaign, which is called Re-use ICT, aims to reduce the amount of e-waste that ends up in landfills and to re-use equipment that really has no problems aside from being a bit old.  While these computers may not be adequate for a business they might be for individuals that will not need the most state of the art equipment.

Though this scheme businesses will have a hassle free way to get rid of their e-waste in a proper way.
