Police in the United Kingdom are still searching for the mother of a dead baby that was found in a bag inside of a recycling bin. The baby was found at a recycling plant near Addlethorpe last week and police are urging the mother to step forward and take responsibility. The body was discovered on October 15th and thus far police have no leads as to the identity of the child, nor its parents. Police are encouraging the mother to step forward or at least to call in anonymously so that they can continue to piece together the events which led to the infant being left in the recycling bin.
The police are only working with one lead thus far which are reports that there was a couple arguing in the St. Clements Green area of Skegness a few hours before the body was discovered at the Greenstar UK Limited plant for recycling. Police are still investigating the reports but thus far no hard evidence has been discovered that could lead to the identity of the child, nor how it ended up dead in a bin bag.
The recycling plant is currently closed as Lincolnshire police continue their investigation, which has not yet yielded a suspect. The baby boy was found in the bin by an employee at the Greenstar UK Limited plant as he sorted through rubbish looking for misplaced glass. Police are urging the mother to come forward not only as a means to solve the case, but also because they say the woman could be facing health risks from a traumatic birth.
