Gordon Shedden has the joined the Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing team and competed in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) round held at Snetterton on August 1-2, alongside Adam Jones.
In the second race, Shedden came in tenth, taking his first point with Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing. Teammate Adam Jones came in 11th during the second race.
Jones took 7th place in both the first and third races – the team’s best placements for the round.
Thirty-year-old Shedden was behind the wheel of a Team Dynamics car for the season’s opener at Brands Hatch, with a strong result.
Shedden commented about being back in the BTCC competition: “I was approached by Colin very recently and things have moved fast to this point. I wanted to be part of a team where I know I can make a difference, Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing is in a position right now where it is ready to move forward and I intend to help them do just that.”
Team Principal Colin Neill said of the signing: “Gordon is great guy, I gave him a call and we talked through some ideas and a few days later he is part of the team, it has all happened very quickly.”
