Go global via the retail outlets

When we buy a dress or household item, it usually comes packed in a plastic bag or a cardboard box. And when we take them out of their packaging, we are left wondering what to do with the bag it came in. we don’t know if we should recycle it or throw it away. This problem arises because most of us find it difficult to find the label that is supposed to be placed on these products giving us an indication on how to deal with them. To solve this issue, the retailers have joined hands with the British Retail Consortium to launch a new scheme in inserting visible labels on all products being sold. The Waste and resources action programme has also come along with this hoping that more people are educated on how to dispose the items making sure to protect the environment.

The products are categorized as “recycled” and “not recycled” or in any other manner that would help consumers identify the quality of the product. Also, a new symbol might be put in all these so customers need not search for the label and can see easily what the properties of the item is. They will then be able to decide the mode of disposal of those related items and make sure there is no confusion in recycling. Since these labels are likely to be standardized and approved by the Government, there can be no discrepancies and all retailers will adhere to the policy in consensus.
