You just purchased the newest greatest mobile phone but now don’t know what to do with the old one. Well, if you are a customer with a Toshiba mobile phone, computer, PDA, or Camera your life just got easier. As part of the Toshiba commitment to reducing waste they have started offering a trade in program that allows for mobile phone recycling as well as the recycling of other electronic items.
Consumers who are interested can log onto the Toshiba website and see if their electronic item can be traded in for money or credit toward a new device. Credits are awarded based on the condition and the physical condition of the device, whether it works or not, its age, and the type of technology used to power it. The best part is that Toshiba does not care if your mobile phone is manufactured by them or not, regardless of who made the mobile phone you might still be able to recycle old mobile phones for cash.
If Toshiba determines that your mobile phone has no monetary value they will still help you find a local vendor that will recycle your mobile phone responsibly. The only difference between this program and programs sponsored by other manufacturers is that if the phone has no monetary value and you decide to ship it to Toshiba you will be required to pay the shipping cost because of the limited number of mobile phones sold by the company. Toshiba will however cover the cost on shipping of all computer components or music players should you choose to recycle mobile phones via mail.
