There are very few mobile companies that have their own in house recycling program. Most just take advantage of services that allow you to recycle your phone for cash or rely on third party companies to collect and recycle your mobile phone. While these programs are great, T-Mobile has gone the extra mile to become one of only a handful of manufacturers with their own programs in place.
The T-Mobile Handset recycling program encourages T-Mobile users, along with users of other manufactured devices to drop off their old unused mobile phones for recycling. Customers can participate at any T-Mobile retail store or they have the option to send their phone to T-Mobile via mail. Those who choose to recycle via mail can print off a postage paid label through the company website. Once the company collects devices for mobile phone recycling they are disposed of in a manner that is not harmful to the environment. As mobile phones become more and more popular the need for these programs in increasing exponentially and T-Mobile wants to make sure they are doing their part to save the environment.
Money made from recycling mobile phones is put toward the T-Mobile Huddle Up Program. This program gives back to the community through helping single parent households. In addition the Huddle Up program donates funds to afterschool programs designed to enrich the lives of youth in the communities where T-Mobile has stores. Working with local organizations T-Mobile employs help to make the world a brighter place.
