Tewkesbury Borough Council provides a kerbside recycling service to the residents in Tewkesbury. The service runs on a fortnightly basis, and the recycling boxes are to be placed at kerbside by 6am on the collection day. The one thing that is different about Tewkesbury Borough Council’s kerbside service from most other authorities is that there is a charge of £3.50 for each box that you order. A maximum of three boxes can be purchased from Tewkesbury Borough Council by phone or mail. The boxes will then be delivered to you within one week of your order date.

There are many different recyclable items that can be placed in this box to be collected. Paper products are one of them, which include magazines and newspapers, white envelopes and office paper, brown envelopes and paper bags, brochures and catalogues, yellow pages and telephone directories, as well as glossy paper inserts and leaflets. Metal products can be placed in this box too, which include food and drink tins/cans, pet food tins/cans, and aerosols with the nozzles and lids removed. Additionally, glass jars and bottles that have been stripped of their labels, caps, and have been rinsed are to be put into the box as well.

Garden waste is also collected by Tewkesbury Borough Council, which was a scheme introduced in March 2006. The service has prevented more than 10,000 tonnes of compostable waste from being sent to the landfill. The scheme, however, is available by subscription only, which costs £30 per year, where you will be given a brown wheeled bin to put the garden waste in.

Residents in Teignbridge now have the ability to recycle from their home with the boxes and bin collection service from Teignbridge District Council. The residents in Teignbridge are provided with one of the most comprehensive programs for recycling in all of the United Kingdom. The collection may reuse more than 60% of all normal rubbish from households.

Teignbridge District Council has and will provide green and black boxes, as well as green bins, for residents to recycle. Batteries, printer cartridges, and mobile phones are to be placed in the green box, as well as clean glass jars and bottles and cloudy plastic bottles. Dry cell batteries that are to be recycled need to be put in a plastic bag and left on top of the green box.

Cans that contained drinks and food are to be put into the black box after they have been rinsed. Newspapers, empty aerosols, magazines, and other dry, clean, white paper can be put in this box as well. If it is raining on your collection day, then the paper items need to be placed into a carrier bag that is only folded over in order to keep the paper dry.

Items that can go in the green bin are uncooked and cooked food waste that has been wrapped in newspaper and garden waste, which includes weeds, grass cuttings, hedge clippings, and small branches. Thin cardboard can be placed in this bin also, such as toilet roll tubes, cereal boxes, yellow pages, and shredded paper. Wet paper is to be placed here as well.

All of the collected recyclables from the boxes are taken to Newton Abbot, the bulking station, where they are gathered and sorted before being transported. All of the items collected from the bins, which are compostable, are taken to their composting facility to be processed.

Teesdale District Council operates a recycling program in order to reduce pollution and save energy by minimizing how much waste goes to the landfill. The council uses the common bin system as their service, providing green and black bins, as well as blue sacks for residents to easily recycle.

In the green bin Teesdale District Council asks that you place any paper and cardboard items to be recycled. This includes brochures, leaflets, magazines, newspapers, telephone directories, envelopes, and catalogues. The cardboard that is placed in this bin must be flattened and folded to fit.

In the black bin you will need to put any glass jars and bottles that are empty and clean. Please note that these glass items cannot be broken. Then in the blue sack you can put any aerosol, drink, and food cans that have been emptied and cleaned. Plastic bottles are also to be put in here, and they must be emptied and cleaned as well.

However, there are certain items that Teesdale District Council is unable to collect. These include wallpaper, carpets, fruit juice cartons, wrapping paper, paint tins, books, toys, baking trays, electrical items, plastics such as food trays, crockery, saucepans, yoghurt pots, plant pots, margarine tubs, plastic packaging, light bulbs, and pyrex dishes.

The collections are scheduled for once every two weeks and is usually collected on the same day as the rubbish, unless told otherwise. To find out when your collection day and time is, you can call the council or go to their website.

When learning of the recycling program offered by Taunton Deane District Council, you will find that they provide a weekly service using a green box. The box should be placed outside, ready to be collected by 7am, on the day that the collectors are scheduled to pick it up. The days and times that they will collect your recyclables will vary depending on where you live, and this can be found out by calling Taunton Deane District Council or going to their website.

The green box or bin is to be placed at the edge of your property as close to the road as it can be so that the collectors can clearly see it. The recyclables that can be put in the green box include: papers like magazines, junk mail, newspapers, and telephone directories; drink and food cans that have been washed out; aluminum foil that has been cleaned and put into a separate bag; glass jars and bottles; clothes that have been placed in a separate bag to keep dry and are marked ‘textiles; shoes that are tied together in pairs and kept in a separate bag; and engine oil/car batteries, where they should be placed beside the recycling box and in a sealed container sitting upright.

Garden waste is collected as well, except on alternate weeks and in a green wheeled bin or sack. You can get your sack or bin for the garden waste by ordering it from Taunton Deane District Council for a fee. Plastic bags are not to be placed in the bins or bags, as they are not decomposable.

Tamworth Borough Council has been working hard to provide a great waste management strategy so that residents in the area can recycle with ease. They have made great progress improving their performance over the last five years, when in 2004 they started providing waste collection on an alternate weekly basis, as well as expanded the collection of dry recyclables each week.

Also since the year 2003/04, the recycling rate for the area of Tamworth increased from 9.6% to 38.3% in the 2006/07 year. Plus, there was a reduction in the amount of waste that is produced by households by 3% during this same period of time. However, Tamworth Borough Council is hoping to achieve a 40% recycling rate for 2008/09, and by 2011/12 they hope to reach 50%.

Every week collectors pick up the blue boxes with your recyclable waste in them. To have your box of recyclables collected, make sure the bin is placed at the edge of your property by 7am. The bin should not be overfilled or have any additional waste inside or beside it, such as garden waste, as this is not permitted. Products like rubble, timber, and bricks are not to be put in the bin either. Any excess waste is to be taken to the Household Waste Site.

Businesses are also able to use the recycling services provided by Tamworth Borough Council. No matter how big or small your business is, you have a legal responsibility to safely dispose of waste. Disposing of the waste is not hard at all, as there is plenty of information on the council’s website (below) that can help you with that.

London Borough of Lambeth Council has been providing their area with great recycling services to get people involved in saving the environment. They are working on a new Waste Strategy that is going to define how they manage the waste and recycling they receive from residents in the future. The strategy is going to include where their waste transport fleet is located, an improvement in the rate to which the community recycles, as well as how their services are operated.

It is a fact that about 45% of household waste can be recycled with ease. As a resident in Lambeth, you can have all of your drink and food cartons, plastic bottles, tins, glass, cardboard, and catalogues recycled for free with the orange recycling bag that they provide to you. The bag can be placed outside of your home to be collected on your specific day, which can be found out by going to the council’s website or by calling them. Housing estate tenants are also provided a recycling service, by which they can place their recyclable materials into green bins, which are usually located where they put their household trash.

London Borough of Lambeth Council delivers 30 orange sacks in bundles to the residents in their area each 4 months. The green box and orange sack needs to be placed by the inside edge of your property on collection day by 6:30am so that they can be clearly seen for the collectors. If there isn’t a frontage to your property, then the box or sack can be left on the pavement, but don’t put them out there before 6pm on the night before they are collected.

The recycling services that are provided by Fenland District Council for their area are very useful for helping the environment. To prove this, the council says that the area now has a recycling rate of 53%, which also proves how easy it is to recycle. All of the recyclables that are passed on to Fenland District Council are used to make new products.

The Fenland District Council uses the three Rs when they talk about their program. You have probably heard of these, which stand for Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The council advises that before you throw out waste or recycle it, think about ways to REDUCE the amount of products that you are getting rid of. There are many ways to do this, as well as REUSE products, such as plastic containers. To RECYCLE is how everyone will be able to help save the environment.

The recycling program that Fenland District Council provides is very common: the bin system. There are three different bins that you will be given (blue, brown, and green), and they are used for different items. The blue bin is used for paper (not shredded), clean cardboard, aerosols, clean drink and food cans, aluminum foil, clean plastic bottles without the lids, and ‘tetrapak’ cartons. These are actually the most common recyclables that are found in household waste.

The brown bin is used for garden waste, uncooked and cooked food waste (should be wrapped in caddy sack or newspaper), paper or cardboard with food on it, shredded paper, and paper or sawdust bedding from vegetarian pets. The green bin is used for all of the waste that cannot be recycled, which include other plastics, sanitary products, nappies, and bottle tops.

In Devon, there is a great recycling program provided by Devon County Council, which is based on the three Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The amount of waste that you create can be REDUCED by purchasing foods that have less packaging, that have less disposable items, communicating electronically instead of receiving junk mail, and doing home composting. You can also REUSE products such as containers, rechargeable batteries, and by taking goods that you don’t want anymore to boot sales or charity shops. Items that can be RECYCLED include: plastics, paper, glass, metal, and textiles.

During the 2007/08 year, Devon County Council recycled just over 49% of household waste in the area, and if even more people help the environment by recycling, Devon County Council will achieved a composting and recycling rate of 53% by 2010. Plus, by 2015 they could recycle 60% of household waste and 65% by 2025.

The Recycling Centres that are provided by Devon County Council are for disposing of bulky household waste only. However, cardboard and garden waste is excepted but for a fee. The council does provide a special collection service for bulky items, which will need to be arranged if you aren’t able to access one of the centres.

Households aren’t the only ones who are provided services for recycling, as Devon County Council also provides these services to small businesses as well. Certain Recycling Centres will accept cardboard and green waste from businesses, which will save them the cost and time for transporting the materials to a landfill that is further away. Recycling these items will help protect the environment, instead of just throwing them out, and it also reduces pollution and saves energy.

Wondering how to recycle in the city of York? Well, it’s quite easy to if you are doing it at home. York City Council provides the best services for kerbside recycling, and that’s a fact! The recycling for the area that is collected makes a difference for everyone. York City Council provides the bins for the kerbside services, and that’s what makes it easy to recycle.

The recyclable products that are coming out everyday are helping the world each day. The products are reusable when they come out with these materials. The recycling that is gathered at certain times of the week go to recycling facilities. The recycling facilities that are provided to collect the recyclables ship the recyclables later to places that turn them into new materials again.

The kerbside program provides services for garden waste too, making this a very good service for recycling. The garden waste is taken to a recycling facility that later ships off the waste as well. The collections for the household waste are taken to the landfill later, and the collections for the household recycling are taken to the recycling facilities. Recycling is meant for everyone to do and will help the environment by producing less pollution.

While living in the Vale Royal area, it is good to know about the different types of recycling services provided by Vale Royal Borough Council. Vale Royal Borough Council provides the services for many reasons and will be providing them for many years. The recyclable materials that are taken from each house help reduce the amount of rubbish that goes to the landfill. The next paragraph will give more information on what services they provide.

The services that Vale Royal Borough Council provide for the people include services for the elderly. The elderly has a service that they can request for collecting the bins from their house, and this helps. The service they provide for the household recyclable materials are the bins they provide. The bins are collected every week at the kerbside, and that’s what makes it easier on people to recycle.

The bins tend to get full and overflow, however. Well, there is a solution to that, and that’s to take them to the recycling centers that are located in the city. The recycling centers are well known for their great help, and they welcome you. There are many different recyclables that you should collect, and these include materials like plastics, drinking cans, and cardboard. There are more that are collected, and that’s what is good about the services they provide. The garden waste that is collected is collected in a different bin to keep them separate. Recycling will save the world some day, so this is a good program to be involved with.
