Recycle Waste Lisburn City Council Recycle Program

In the year 2005, Lisburn City Council first introduced a new wheeled bin scheme. This scheme has been pretty effective and has made many individuals who did not recycle in the paste, start recycling. Many homes throughout the city of Lisburn were provided with green bins. These green bins are for a number of different materials that are able to be recycled. These recylable materials include plastic, cans, paper and so on.

The recycling bins that have been provided to individuals since the year 2005 in Lisburn by Lisburn City Council are being emptied every week along with the regular rubbish pick up. On the day of collection you are asked to put your bin out on the curb. The handles of the bin should be facing the road. You should make sure you do not damage the bin so you should keep the lid of the bin closed. You should make sure you put the bin out every mornig before 7am. If you leave bags and boxes next to the bin these are not going to be collected. In other words, you should make sure everything is in the bin, you can always request another bin if you feel you have a lot of recyclables.
