Pallets, also coined a skid, have a flat surface where transportable materials like products and goods are placed. This gives them stability as they are being picked up by the forklift and placed in the transport vehicle. Pallets can come in wood, metal, plastic, and cardboard. Although not as common as plastic and wood, metal pallets are also available. These metal pallets can also be recycled to be used in the manufacturing of materials for construction purposes.
