Paper Cardboard Recycling

There are usually two kinds of cardboards that are commonly recycled, and they are the flat cardboard and the corrugated cardboard. Flat cardboard is most commonly used for things like shoes boxes and cereal packaging, and corrugated cardboard, on the other hand, is commonly utilized in packing boxes. However, not all cardboards can be recycled, an example of which, are the cardboards that are coated with wax and are used in the shipment of fresh produce. Another example are cardboards that are used in the packaging of soft drinks and beer, and this type of cardboard is called carrier stock cartons. The reason why these kinds of cardboards are not recyclable is because, when they go through the pulper, the fibers do not break down into individual fibers because of the wax. So, only the two first mentioned types of cardboards can be used, the flat and corrugated cardboards.

These recyclable cardboards go through the pulper in the recycling companies to break it down into separate fibers. The pulp is then used to produce more recycled cardboard. The advantage of recycling cardboards is that it reduces the need for cutting down trees, it reduces pollution, it saves importance natural resources, and it saves the companies a lot of money.
