Almost everyone in the world uses paper, and this is one of the things that will always be used no matter what. They are used for stationeries, envelopes, books, newspapers, bills, and many more. Old papers are almost always thrown into the garbage cans, like old children’s notebooks and old pocketbooks. Because of this, tons and tons of discarded paper are left taking up space in the already-overflowing landfills. These, together with the other waste materials in the landfills, increase pollution and greenhouse effect. They are also very harmful to the health of the communities living near these landfills. So to lessen the garbage and waste materials dumped in the landfills, recycling paper has been advocated by environmentalists and governments.
The homeowners are encouraged to separate their trash according to the material. Papers are stacked together, and they can deliver these to recycling companies. There are also some companies that offer to pick up the discarded papers for free, so you need not go to these companies personally. What these recycling companies do with used papers is that they put them through a process which separates the ink used on the paper from the paper itself. Then the papers are again run through a process to separate each individual fiber and then mashed until they become like a pulp. These pulps are then placed on top of screened containers to drain the excess water from them, after which they are pressed evenly and smoothly. Recycled paper can be made into new papers, business cards, crafts like rosary beads and decorative pieces, and many more new products.
By recycling paper, trees are saved as well as natural resources.
