Question D: erosol cans

Can anyone tell me is it ok to put areosol cans in with the usual can collections? some areosols have a recycle triangle on them with a number 40 in them What does that mean? others have nothing on them at all? If we can recycle them with the other cans do we need to pull off all the plasic bits on them as far as possible??

Thanks
Mandi

You can't recycle aerosol cans, they're full of chemicals of all kinds, so its not possible to recycle them. I dunno what the triage with 40 in means.
