Question D: Recycle Carrier Bags

Hi.

I am wondering how is the plastic recycling process goes. I notice that a lot of retailer shops claims that their plastic/carrier bags are recyclable, or contain 70% of recycled material. Would these bags be recyclable if it just goes to refuse bin? Or the customer need to discard them to the recycle bin?

Great if anyone can provide me some information about this. Thanks.

Cheers,
ChengAnn

I save them and then give them back to the shop.
example I shop at asda and after about a month i take the bags to them.

Angry plastic bags

recycling plastic bags is a very long process
they either get melted down & they re-use the plastic to make new bags but this takes up alot of energy , or they will just put them in very big compound units & wait years untill they crumble down into tiny pieces ....
to check upon this, you can search on google !
