That's the whole point.
Most people think if it get's hotter the earth will dry up or we will all flood due to the ice caps melting.
But the earth has never lost or gained any water since it's creation (according to scientists who shouldn't be trusted).
What happens is the ice caps melt some more, rain increases due to the increase in melted ice. Only it doesn't rain on the ice caps or other glaciers because the temperature is still freezing, it comes down as snow and will compact on the existing ice - therefore incresing the ice caps. That will be the danger, ice not flooding.
But it's not all doomsday as we did survive that last ice age!
