I agree that most times I would caution someone of buying into a trend completely, but this one does seem pretty apparent... Thanks for sharing, as always!

An interesting post - especially the categorisation of the 'green' people! As a business, we don't fit into any of the suggested categories (tree-hugging hippies/hard-boiled scientists/red army warriors); we simply offer a smart, responsible rubbish removal service that ensures the maximum possible amount (currently 75%) is diverted from landfill. Our mission is to ensure that the 97% in the survey who like to 'do their bit' as opposed to being 'fully committed' have access to the easiest route possible to dispose of any junk that is too big for their bin. Find out more about what we get up to here http://www.anyjunk.co.uk/blog/

We've been in the recycling industry for a number of years and have seen significant improvements in technologies used in preinter manufacturing. However, a significant issue with printer paper contninues to be dust assoictaed with recycled paper. This blocks and eventually critically damages laser printers. However, there's numerous other techniques available to reduce climate impact associated with printing. As you stated in your article, a business cutting it's carbon footprint is a good reflection of it's sustainability credentials. Whilst I don't personally believe in carbon offsetting on a personal level, businesses can certainly have an impact on carbon production through the use of recycled cartridges, faster printers, newer ink technologies and.... less printing!

I've been all over the globe and I must say Tahiti was the most picturesque. The ocean and the white sandy beaches were the clearest and cleanest I have seen. A true paradise. I can imagine that in 40-50 years time there will be tourist excursions to CAS. People will want to sample clean air.

I agree that worldwide people aren't taking recycling and environmental concern seriously. I think that someone needs to come up with a way to re-energize the world in its concern for the earth.
