'Thank you' to the very kind gentleman whom I received a tumble dryer from - within days of posting a wanted message.

There's a bit of a snobbish stigma attached to having used things sometimes, but this is such a great way of making use of unwanted items, and benefiting the environment at the same time.

Have just successfully recycled my large sofa as advertised on ****- very fast and efficient, easy - thank you very much, Recycle, we'll certainly use you again! (So much better than throwing useable items out as rubbish and nice to know someone else can make use of our discarded items!)

Area: Leicestershire/Northamptonshire.

It is true, it works, and having found my item, collected it, and installed it, I feel great!
Both new members, both didn't really have a clue, but it really works! Am spreading the word to my son and his friends at Uni now!
Happy recycling everybody.

I joined this site as I had items that I wanted to get rid of but were too good to take to the amenity tip which incidentally is only half a mile from my home. I posted a couple of items on the site and the response has been good. Most of the people are reluctant and do not seem to know exactly how to use the site. I have explained that I think it is a little bit like the classified ads, and by using the administrator for the initial e mails, you can decide when in the conversation to give out any personal information like the collection address or contact number, which lets face it you do in the classified ads pretty much straight away.
One of my items went quite quickly, and the people who collected it were rather supprised, as they e mailed me later to thank me for the item and made comment on how good a condition it was in. They said it was rather strange picking up the item and not having to pay for it, but in effect they were saving it from going into landfil, and helping to save our environment, which made me feel good and they got a really good bargian.
I am going to try out a few more Items when I get round to it, but will publish with thumbnail attatchments, which may let people know that it is not rubbish that is on offer.
